Hope Mission Welfare Society is a global entity non-profit, bringing hope to underprivileged children.

Our Story
Hope Mission Welfare Society is a non-profit organization based in Teluk Intan, which began in 2008 with just three girls. It soon got its registration under Registry of Societies and Department of Social welfare, Malaysia on 9 April 2009.
Pr. Johnathan Muthal along with his wife Sasikala established the ‘Hope Mission Welfare Society’ under which he started ‘Hope Mission Home’ for underprivileged children. What began with just three girls is now full-fledged home with 9 staff, 20 volunteers catering to 35 children between the ages of 4 to 18. These abandoned children are at various level of schooling.
The Hope Mission Welfare Society believes in restoring shattered lives. Those abused, abandoned, neglected, orphaned children who comes from broken families are embraced with love, care and hope. By caring for their basic immediate needs like food, clothing, shelter, health care, education and most importantly their spiritual welfare.
Our 12-year journey made a difference in the lives of over 450 children for we are committed to serving the poor and needy irrespective of their religion and ethnicity. By specifically focusing on under privileged children the Hope Mission Welfare Society fulfils its mission that “Every Child deserves a better tomorrow.”
Our Success Stories
Nursing Graduate
A graduate from Penang Adventist College in Diploma of Nursing. Now working as staff nurse at Penang Adventist Hospital in Cardiologist Department.
Graphic Designer
He completed Desktop Publishing at Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas Vokasional, Shah Alam.
Accountant
Studying Diploma of Accountancy at Politeknik Ungku Omar. She will be a graduate in 2020.
A Bright Student
He was chosen to be one of the 50 recipients for Dutch Lady’s Dana Inspirasi Masa Depan 2015. The selection was based on his academic performances. He also got 3A’s in UPSR 2018.
Makeup Artist
In 2019, she completed a Bridal and Make-Up course at Vocational Training Opportunity Centre by YWCA of Malaysia, Cheras Campus.
Pastry Chef
He has taken certificate course in Bakery and Pastry at Montfort’s Boys Town and will be completing in two years.
Diploma in Nursing
She is pursuing her Diploma in Nursing at University Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh Campus. She will be finishing her studies in three years’ time.
Automotive Engineer
He is pursuing his certificate course in Automotive Engineering at Montfort’s Boys Town and will be completing in two years.
Our Services

Child Protection
Children have the right to be completely protected from the fear or any potential abuse (either physical or emotional) resulting from inappropriate contact by any person.

Shelter
Shelter is one of the basic human needs along with food, water, and companionship. It is a structure that protects you from the elements and gives you a place to live. Hope Mission Welfare Society believes every child deserves every basic necessities.

Food
Hope Mission Welfare Society cares for the basic necessities to the very detail for the underprivileged children. Nutritious food helps them to focus of their better tomorrow. We believe every child deserves a better tomorrow.

Medical Care
Every year an estimated 1.5 million children still die from diseases that could have been prevented through vaccination. Medical care for these children is our priority.

Education
More than 121 million children of primary and lower secondary-school age are out of school worldwide, and an estimated 250 million children are failing to learn because of a lack of access to quality education. For a better society tomorrow we need a better education today.
